Rock Steady

Rock steady at 104 Kmph. This time at the Intermediate Ring Road in competition with a Pulsar 150cc updated model. A nice, clean arrangement of the handle bar makes Apache a real comfort while turning suddenly. Off course, maybe this suits me coz of my height, but I was convinced with my bikes performance since I smashed and overtook the pulsar. Vibration was there, but the stability of the vehicle at that speed made it really transparent. I am happy with the vehicle.

To all those who keep complaining about the vehicle (excepting the style and looks) I have five words - "learn to ride a bike".

Yamaha RX100 was a 2 stroke motorcycle from Yamaha with a top speed of 100 kmph with a 4 speed gearbox and a fuel economy of 25-35 kilometers/litre. This speed monster was released in India after Escort, Royal Enfield and Jawa (also known as Yezdi) came into picture with their own bikes. I am slowly falling in love with this technology. Right opposite our office lives a family that owns this cute little car. Its noiseless, sleek and compact. Reminds of the Mini 1000 that Mr. Bean has. Damn! you can park it anywhere in a jiff. Reva is sold in the UK and in other countries. The new version Reva L-ion cab give upto 125 kms per charge. And its got disk brakes!!!

Maruthi Ertiga - Love me? Love me not?

An attempt by Maruthi to try out something different. The launch of the LUV - the Ertiga. From the looks it is obvious that maruthi tried really hard to try and blend in all design elements of most of the car out there in the market right now. The length of the vehicle reminds me of Honda Jazz and the protruded wheels guards in the body from Ford. There are some features that this car boasts about. Glove box, rear seat pockets, chrome handles, cup holders, arm rest, fog lamps etc. Yeah! the same old thing we find in most basic cars. So as you see there isn't anything new or special in this car that is worth mentioning excepting for the space. Its a LUV - a life utility vehicle, whatever that means. Maybe this means you can accomodate upto 7 people in this car as it has three rows and that is like life in heaven. Thats the only plus I can see in this car.
